A Quiet Snow

Soft and light and silent you fall,

some of you in unison,

some of you in your own time.

Each one of you a miracle of uniqueness,

carrying messages in your geometry

that we don’t have the translation for yet.

Falling to Earth so effortlessly and quietly, you

land next to each other and on top of each other

without complaint.

Waiting quietly in the microscopic matrix squeezing closer and closer to each other.

Your silence only broken by the crunching under our feet,

until the time Mother Nature brings warmth and calls you back.

You release your uniqueness completely

and blend and dissolve even more

as you return Home to the most potent substance on Earth.

Water.

Blessing the dry and sleeping land.

What a lovely journey!

None of you struggle to remain unique and separate

You grace this Earth in silent beauty.

You are born as one of a kind

and gracefully accept your part in it all.

Becoming one with each other

and then transform to life giving flow and potency

for the lives of all living things.

Thank you snowflake.

Thank you for your beauty.

Thank you for your stillness.

Thank you for painting the land in reverent pureness.

Thank you for reminding us

of the miracle of uniqueness

and the truth of Oneness.
