Thank You
Thank you for this peace I feel
even as I sense the wounds nipping at my heel
all the while knowing they're not real.
They consume and divide my resource
if I see them,
not for what they are
but for what they are not
and this unknowing is the only course
to take
on the way to wholeness.
My delight in the discovery of self
gives me the strength to take all things
I no longer need from the shelf
inside me
and plant them deep
in the ground
so when I feel lost
those things will never be found
again
The illusion of loss
comes with such a great cost
to the beauty and abundance that abounds
and these are what truly must be found
and held
and cherished
and protected
for if not, it will be neglected
and it will leave you
to find a Heart
more open to inhabit
For love and peace are all around us
but only find a home within us
when we trust
Ourselves
more than the story
that felt like a curse
that becomes the gift
that becomes the present
that we can share
with fellow souls who walk
the same path as us
