You Cannot Truly Rise

You cannot truly rise and lead in your life,

you cannot fully live and love in your life,

until you have fallen

deep, deep, deep

to the very bottom of your shadows.

And in it,

if you are not absolutely certain

that this is your death,

you are not at the bottom.

Go deeper.

And then deeper still.

You may lose your mind.

This is a good sign my friend.

It is dark in your very depths,

the darkest you will ever experience.

It feels like complete consumption of self.

And then the fear comes,

at first quietly,

and then screaming at you to get out at all costs!

It will literally grab you and try to drag you out

like another part of you drowning

that is grasping onto you to try to save itself,

pulling you further down.

This is the crucial moment.

This is the place you need to be.

This is when you must sit down firmly and decisively

in the festering darkness

and root yourself in this swamp

that wants to take all of you.

And in it,

if you are not absolutely certain

that all that you "know" about yourself is disappearing,

you are not at the bottom.

Go deeper.

And then deeper still.

There is no guaranteed timeline.

In fact the more you search for a plan through this,

the more you are trapped there.

So you will sit and be with your fear

without giving into it.

You will listen to it with compassion

without trying to rescue it.

You will find the genesis of your fear

and you will love it.

This is your reset.

This is your rebirth.

This is your birth right,

stolen from you

so that you could have this experience.

And when your fear has run it's course,

and it must run it's course,

and when your fear feels your self love and self compassion,

you will begin to notice your Heart beat more softly

and your breath glide in and out of your being more easily.

And in your darkest of darkness

something that feels like a miracle will arrive.

Your journey,

your battle,

your surrender

will cleanse and clear your eyes

so when you look through them you are not sure

if what you think you see is there

and so you check again.

It may appear as a micro second of a flash

It may appear as a tiny speck

that makes you squint in the darkness to confirm

but it will come to you

because it was never not there

That has always been a illusion,

a cloak of your shadows and fear

that have hidden it for so long.

Your true self will introduce itself to you.

The true Light

that resides in all of us

How is it possible that in the darkest of your darkness

you can only authentically discover this truth of self,

not in your mind as in the way you are reading this now,

but in your very being?

A knowing that cannot be retracted

by anything of this world,

not even death.

Darkness is the mother of Light

From nothing came all things.

Our internal journey mirrors that of creation.

And when you stand again

now with the knowing and being

of the Light within you that is undeniable,

you can be and speak from authority,

not over others, but rather authority of self,

an authoring of your truth written by you.
